Sam Holgate

FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Sam meets with all our clients to establish the scope of the brief before delivering strategic advice and putting in place a team to carry forward a campaign, maintaining a hands-on, client-facing approach throughout.

Sam established Filigree Communications in 2015, building on over 15 years' experience in planning, transport and infrastructure. Her expertise lies in communication strategy, stakeholder engagement and media relations helping regeneration, planning and placemaking clients articulate complex information into compelling stories to engage stakeholders and develop brand reputations. Her broad corporate affairs experience means she approaches communication challenges with a rounded approach giving consideration to all aspects including brand reputation, digital, social, employee engagement and crisis communications.

Sarah Southgate

Account MANAGER

Before embarking on a career in marketing Sarah studied communications at university where she found she had a passion for the media and its relationship with society. 

After working in various marketing communication roles for over a decade she now specialises in account management and has a proven track record of delivering excellent results for clients and organisations from a variety of sectors including finance, travel, pet and audio visual technology. In addition to working for different types and sizes of organisation Sarah has also worked in different roles including digital, print and events and is now bringing her skills and knowledge to her role at Filigree Communications to make a meaningful impact on communities. 

Sarah’s background with both consumer and business to business marketing projects has required her to have the ability to understand the dynamics of different types of products, markets and organisational structures. 

Her aim is to always build strong, positive and collaborative relationships with clients to deliver the best possible results, in line with their strategies and goals. 


 

Cameron Livsey

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE 

Cameron joined Filigree in 2024, contributing to the team’s research, content planning and media. With a strong background in social and economic geography, from the University of Nottingham his skills align perfectly with Filigree’s approach to community consultation and stakeholder engagement.
 
Cameron's experience in social media, marketing and communications began with the establishment of his own events company in Nottingham immediately after completing his university studies. During this venture, he honed his skills and passion in creative content and events management.
Through his roles as University Football Coach, and RNLI Beach Lifeguard, he brings experience of supporting communities and members of the public which he draws on for direct engagement and community involvement as part of his role within our team.


 

Charlotte Buttery

Digital marketing assisttant

Charlotte joined Filigree as a digital marketing assistant, whilst studying as a Multi-Channel Marketer apprentice. Before pursuing her passion in digital marketing, Charlotte studied creative media where she learnt about campaigns, how to create her own films and how to communicate with clients.Her interest for social media began during her previous employment in hospitality management. She was in charge of scheduling and creating content for all the social media platforms, providing her with a vast understanding of content creation.

Charlotte’s warm personality and her experience in various customer-facing, hospitality roles means she makes strong, professional relationships with both clients and members of the public at Filigree’s various community events.


 

Sarah Thomas

Consultant

Sarah is a marketing and communications specialist with 15 years’ experience in the not-for-profit, housing and community development sectors. She is passionate about the power of meaningful engagement and works to design and deliver campaigns and communications that will have real and transformational impact to people’s lives.

Her practical experience and commitment to working hand in hand with audiences is underpinned by a strong technical background. She is an engaging and effective facilitator experienced in delivering training, workshops and webinars and designing and undertaking research.
